What is Youth Fine art Month?
March is National Youth Art Month with Texas being a leader in YAM celebrations and events since information technology began. TAEA sponsors a number of programs jubilant art during the month of March such as a Texas YAM flag design contest, an exhibit of over 100 pieces of student artwork at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum and the Lower Rotunda of the Country Capitol Edifice in Austin, an Awards Ceremony and Reception of exhibited artworks, an showroom of artwork in the TASA/TASB Conference Exhibit hall during the fall, diverse Big Art Mean solar day celebrations/events, and much more!

Submit 2021-2022 Flag Pattern Entries & Land YAM Exhibit Artwork
It'due south time to set up for Youth Fine art Month! Go your students working on YAM Flag Designs, and start looking for excellent artwork to represent your district in March at the YAM State Capitol Exhibit.
Here are dates and links (all data and forms are also in the 2021-2022 YAM Book):

- Electronic Flag Design deadline is Friday, December x, 2021

- Member teachers can submit an artwork to their District Representative, who is responsible for choosing and aircraft the right number of artworks for the district. Registration of all piece of work is past one Commune Representative. Delight contact colleagues or your Arts Coordinator to register and submit work together.
- District Representatives can annals your district / private school online between Friday, Oct eight, 2021 and Friday, December 10, 2021.

YAM Exhibit and Celebration 2020
Each year, districts across the state may submit artwork made by Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade student artists in public and private schools to be selected for exhibition in the YAM State Capitol Artwork Exhibit in Austin. The 2021 exhibit was displayed at the Bob Bullock Texas Land History Museum. Our annual YAM Commemoration at the Bullock Texas State History Museum was unfortunately cancelled due to Covid-nineteen closures, but we were able to share the exhibit digitally via social media. Please brand plans to join united states of america next year in Austin for the annual YAM Texas Celebration!
Governor's Gallery
Each year, the Office of the Beginning Lady of Texas selects a grouping of artworks from the YAM State Capitol Showroom to be showcased in the Governor'south Business Office for one year. This year, thirteen pieces volition exist displayed in both Mrs. Abbott and Governor Abbott's offices. The works are framed by TAEA, and students are invited to a private reception in their honor.
